Located in the historical center of Oristano, town of “Mariano IV of Arborea” and “Giudicessa Eleonora”, just in front of the majestic Duomo, where, every year since more than 500 years ago, they run the “Sartiglia”, a horse race in which brave riders must take a star using their sword. Race is organized by “the Gremio of Farmers” and “Gremio of Carpenters”. It’s been re-established an hold house “padronale” 1600 A.D. this is ALBERGO IL DUOMO.
At the ground floor is located the restaurant allowing more than 100 guests. The typical cuisine come from “Montiferru mountain”, where the owner Salvatore Pippia uses to live : typical meat of wild animals, cheese and buttermilk curd, pure olive oil coming from Seneghe and Bonacardo hills, and almond deserts. Finally, we’ve got a little bar and a nice “Vineria” (wine) looking at the little inside court. |
